Silky Sharks

This week the first of the winter Silky sharks have moved in to our area.  We have been catching these sharks on light spinning tackle.  The largest of the sharks was about 5 foot and weighed about 70 lb.  We have been finding them on the deeper wrecks and on the edge of the Gulf Stream.  We have also been seing a few Sailfish, Dolphin & smaller Black Fin Tuna.  The wrecks have also had a few smaller Amberjacks with some large Almaco Jack mixed in.  See what we have been catching at

Kite Fishing is beginning to heat up as the winter cold fronts roll in.  The wind will be north east this week end, the sails should be bitting!  See you on the rip…
