Miami Fishing Report – SailfishMiami Fishing Report - Sailfish

Today’s Miami Fishing Report is about the return of spring and the beginning of the spring time Sailfish bite off Miami & Miami Beach.  Bait schools of Mullet, Thread Herring & Little Tunny have begun to move into the Haulover Miami Beach area.  Following right behind the schools of bait are the predatory game fish.  Sailfish, Sharks, Tuna, Kings, Mahi & many other great deep sea sport game fish begin to migrate just a mile or two off the beaches of Miami.

Miami Fishing Report – “Snooters” !

Miami Fishing Report - MahiSailfish “Snooters” are on the bite when the conditions are right.  North & North East winds are the best.  North current and blue waters are a must.  When the current is against the wind the seas kick up, the Sails get on the bite!  This past wee we were finding sailfish working the deeper edges that had current & weeds.  Live mullet were great baits this week.  Another great Miami Fishing Report is, we also have been catching some great Mahi Mahi (Dolphin Fish) this week while live bait Sailfish fishing this week.  We have a few fish over 30+ pounds.  Live “bullets” and Herring in the kite have tempted the largest of the Mahi.
